Having arrived in Sri Lanka on April 19, the Vice President participated in several important discussions and programmes during his two day visit. His itinerary included bilateral talks with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya on his day of arrival. He subsequently met members of the Indian community who reside in Sri Lanka and visited the Kathiresan Kovil in Bambalapitiya and the Gangaramaya Temple, Hunupitiya to participate in religious observances.
