Sri Lanka, March 9 -- A 27-year-old Indian national was arrested this morning (09) by officers of the Airport Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) while attempting to leave the Bandaranaike International Airport with a large stock of ''Kush'' cannabis.

Officials said the suspect, who is engaged in business, arrived at the airport around 12:10 a.m. from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, onboard AirAsia flight FD-047.

Upon inspecting his two pieces of luggage, officers discovered 2 kilograms and 762 grams of ''Kush'' cannabis, concealed in six separate packets. The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is Rs. 27.62 million, authorities reported.
