Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- Showers or thundershowers are expected across most parts of Sri Lanka after 1.00 p.m. today (09), with fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm likely in several areas, according to the Department of Meteorology.Read Travel Guides The heavy falls are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-Western and Southern provinces, as well as in the Anuradhapura and Mannar districts. The public has been advised to take adequate precautions against temporary localised strong winds and lightning that may occur during thundershowers.
