Sri Lanka, April 29 -- Showers or thundershowers are expected in most parts of Sri Lanka after 1.00 p.m. today (29), according to the Department of Meteorology.

Fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 50 mm is likely at some locations in the Northern, North-Central, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Kurunegala and Trincomalee districts.Food Security Solutions

Showers may also occur in parts of the Southern Province during the morning hours.

Meanwhile, misty conditions are expected in the early hours of the day in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-Central and Uva provinces, along with the Kurunegala District.
