Sri Lanka, Oct. 1 -- The Colombo High Court yesterday issued an arrest warrant against Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) Secretary Ven.Galagodaatthe Gnanasara Thera over a case filed against for making a statement that is offensive to Islam.

When the case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Buddhika Ragala, the defence submitted a medical report and informed court that the thera was unable to appear before court as he was unwell.

The Colombo High Court Judge also observed that the surety of the accused thera was unable to appear before court and considering this fact, the arrest warrant was issued against the thera that he be arrested and produced before court.
