Sri Lanka, July 9 -- Hayleys Plantations Sector marked World Environment Day 2026 through a series of environmental initiatives across Kelani Valley Plantations PLC, Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC and Horana Plantations PLC.

Bringing together employees, estate communities, schoolchildren, educators and stakeholders, the Sector transformed World Environment Day into a platform for meaningful action and environmental education. Through tree planting campaigns, awareness walks, creative competitions, community outreach programmes and experiential learning, participants gained practical insights into protecting natural ecosystems and adopting more eco-friendly lifestyles.
