Sri Lanka, Feb. 28 -- Grama Niladharis, Disaster Relief Service Officers and Technical Officers have decided to stay away from their Disaster Relief Service duties from yesterday.
They said that they arrived at this decision as the Government has failed to meet a number of their demands including the a proper circular for relief assessment.
Addressing at a press conference, All-Ceylon Disaster Relief Service Officers' Association Chairman, Upul Kumara said that there is currently no proper methodology for the provision of relief.
