SriLanka, Sept. 9 -- The Government has pledged to take immediate measures to address financial and administrative difficulties faced by businesses in the Southern Province, following discussions with representatives of the Southern Chambers of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

The commitment was given at a meeting between SCCI representatives and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance, led by Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Nishantha Jayaweera.
