Sri Lanka, April 30 -- Media Deputy Minister Dr. Kaushalya Ariyaratne while refuting SJB MP Dr. Harsha Silva's claim yesterday said that Finance Ministry Secretary Dr. Harshana Sooriyapperuma has not refused to appear before the committee.

Dr. Ariyaratne as the member of Committee of Finance said the Secretary has asked to reschedule it to date after May 5 to accommodate a special Parliamentary address by the Government.

Tensions flared this week over the ongoing investigation into the US$ 2.5 million cyber breach at the Ministry of Finance.
