Sri Lanka, April 28 -- Government assures the public that none of the funds of the approved 2026 supplementary budget of Rs. 500 billion and the other donors' fund of Rs. 9,583 million allocated towards rebuilding Sri Lanka after Cyclone Ditwah will be misused or transferred to any other accounts except for post-disaster restoration work, Labour Minister and Finance and Planning Deputy Minister Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando stated.Sri Lanka Tourism

He said that an investigation is currently underway through the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and other institutions into the theft of the US$ 2.5 million from the Treasury and the findings will be notified to the public.
