SriLanka, Sept. 22 -- A German parliamentary delegation visited the Colombo Port and held discussions with the senior management of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) on the port's development, operations and future growth.

The delegation was led by Nicklas Kappe, MP, Head of Delegation, and comprised Gerold Otten, MP, Johann Saathoff, MP and Ulle Schauws, MP, accompanied by Sarah Hasselbarth, Charge' d'Affaires. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for a constructive exchange on Colombo Port's operational capabilities, infrastructure requirements and its growing importance as a maritime and logistics hub in the Indian Ocean.
