Sri Lanka, Aug. 17 -- Lanka Private Bus Owners' Association President Gemunu Wijeratne has filed a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) regarding alleged insults made against him on social media.

He lodged the complaint over defamation on social media directed at him following a statement he made regarding Metro buses.

Speaking to the media after filing the complaint, Wijeratne stated that he himself had prepared to launch this project 10 years ago, and that the project was also initiated during the administration of former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, but had failed due to the high costs involved.
