Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Police in Wattala have uncovered a case where one friend, working at the same workplace as another, stole his colleague's Lanka Bank credit card and used it to buy goods worth Rs. 87,000.
According to details of the investigation, a day earlier, the suspect asked to borrow his friend's phone to make a call. He removed the SIM card, which contained bank account and other details, and then returned the phone to his friend. Later, he stole his friend's wallet, took the credit card from it, and used it to buy a mobile phone worth Rs. 34,000. With the remaining amount, he bought various household items for his home.
