Four suspects remanded for physiotherapist murder
Sri Lanka, June 29 -- The Nuwara Eliya Magistrate Buddhika Harshani Dharmadasa on Friday, ordered the main suspect, his wife, and two accomplices to be remanded in custody until July 9 in connection with the murder of a female physiotherapist in Nuwara Eliya.
The main suspect, his wife, and an accomplice working as a driver for the Kundasale Pradeshiya Sabha were produced before the Nuwara Eliya Magistrate's Court.
With them, the Nuwara Eliya Police also produced a Chief Inspector of Police who was the former Officer-in-Charge of the Menikhinna Police, who was arrested on suspicion on the night of June 25 for allegedly aiding the main suspect. Following the court hearing, the Magistrate ordered all four suspects to be remanded.
