Sri Lanka, Oct. 13 -- Former State Minister Ashok Abeysinghe has resigned from all positions he held within the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).

In a formal resignation letter addressed to SJB Leader and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, he confirmed his immediate withdrawal from the roles including Chief Organiser for the Kurunegala electorate, Deputy General Secretary of the SJB, President of the Samagi Sevaka Sangamaya (Samagi Trade Union), Trade Union Coordinating Secretary to the Opposition Leader and member of the Working Committee (Executive Committee).
