Sri Lanka, May 8 -- Kapila Chandrasena, former Chief Executive Officer of SriLankan Airlines, has been found dead at a residence in Kollupitiya today (08), Police said.

Police said the cause of death has not yet been confirmed, and investigations are underway. The Judicial Medical Officer is expected to examine the body and determine the circumstances surrounding the death.

Chandrasena had been named as a suspect in the ongoing investigation into the controversial Airbus aircraft procurement deal involving SriLankan Airlines.
