Sri Lanka, April 1 -- The Government has established formal, cyclical annual transfer procedures and is currently implementing it to ensure systematic transfers, prevent long-term stays at one station, and manage transfers through approved committees. Accordingly, no illegal transfers have been made, Cabinet Spokesperson, Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said yesterday.
The Minister said this while responding to a question raised by a journalist at the press conference held yesterday to inform the Cabinet of decisions regarding the token strike initiated by the Government Medical Officers' Association yesterday.
