Sri Lanka, March 13 -- "Sri Lanka is taking immediate steps to secure fuel supplies from Russia," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism said on Friday (13), as Minister Vijitha Herath held discussions with the Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Levan S. Dzhagaryan, to expedite fuel procurement.Beaches & Islands
The meeting followed the easing of certain sanctions that had previously restricted the purchase of Russian oil and is seen as a move to address ongoing fuel supply disruptions caused by conflicts in the Middle East.
