The bilateral discussion focused on key matters relevant to the upcoming 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and Sri Lanka's priorities for the session.

During the meeting, reference was made to Sri Lanka's over 70-year partnership with the UN; UN80 process, UN Sustainable Development Co-operation Framework (UNSDCF), and Sri Lanka's Third Voluntary National Review on SDGs.
