He said due to the conflict in the Middle East, 65 flight departures and 60 arrivals had been cancelled. Many air zones have been closed in the affected region and some zones had opened only for limited periods.
"Accordingly, all flights to and from the Middle East had been cancelled until midnight yesterday (02). Today, the next steps will be decided depending on the evolving situation. We are working to quickly bring back stranded passengers to Sri Lanka," he said.
