SriLanka, July 18 -- The Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment yesterday (17) opened the country's first Skill Development and Daycare Centre for children with disabilities in Trincomalee, marking the launch of a nationwide programme to establish 25 such centres across all administrative districts.

The centre, located in the Naduuttu Grama Niladhari Division of the Kinniya Divisional Secretariat, was inaugurated under the Government's policy framework, "A Rich Country - A Beautiful Life," with the aim of creating an inclusive society where all citizens enjoy equal opportunities.
