Sri Lanka, June 9 -- Four people have been injured in a fire that broke out at a restaurant near the Thalangama-Thalawathugoda junction this morning (09).

Police said the injured persons have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.

The fire erupted at the restaurant earlier today, prompting the deployment of three fire trucks belonging to the Kotte Municipal Council to bring the blaze under control.

Police suspect that a gas leak may have caused the fire.
