Sri Lanka, March 25 -- The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the setting up of an expert committee for the development of the energy economy to speed up investments in that sector.
The committee will be chaired by Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya to prepare a framework for developing the energy economy.
The proposal in this regard was made by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Accordingly, this expert committee will be tasked with preparing a framework for developing the energy economy in a manner that is consistent with national policies, strategies and performance delivery.
