Sri Lanka, July 22 -- Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Anil Jayantha stressed that information being spread through social media regarding the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and the Employees Trust Fund (ETF) is false and misleading, and that employee money in those Funds is very safe under the Government.
The Minister stated that, unlike the Stock Market frauds and the Central Bank Bond Scams, such as pumping and dumping, in which these funds were misused in the past, the present Government will protect this money for the welfare of Employees.
