Srilanka, June 15 -- Meteorologists have predicted that the impact of rising environmental temperatures due to the global El-Nino condition caused by the warming of the equatorial Pacific Ocean could occur after next February, but the probability of Sri Lanka facing a severe impact from it is minimal, an expert on Climate Change said yesterday.

Environment Ministry's Climate Change Secretariat Director Leel Randeni said that this is currently the period when Sri Lanka receives its Southwest Monsoon rains, which will last until September.
