Sri Lanka, April 20 -- According to the Police, 85 people died in road accidents and drowning in various parts of the country during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festive season.
Forty-five fatal road accidents were reported from April 10 to 18 with 47 deaths. An analysis of the reported accidents shows that the 47 deaths occurred due to 16 motorcycle accidents, 07 car accidents, 04 accidents involving vans, and two cabs and two bicycle accidents.
