Economy grows for 11 quarters from 2023 Q2
Sri Lanka, June 23 -- Central Bank Economic Research Department Deputy Director Janaka Edirisinghe stated that the country's economy has grown continuously for 11 quarters from the second quarter of 2023 to the first quarter of 2026, recovering from the unfortunate collapse faced by the Sri Lankan economy in 2022.
He noted that bringing the economy onto a continuous path of growth as a country is no easy task, and that it is the result of steering the country in the right direction based on a sustainable economic policy.
