SriLanka, Sept. 10 -- Dissanayake Mudiyanselage Ranjith Kumara, alias Konda Ranji (37), an organised criminal and drug trafficker, was arrested while in Dubai, deported from the country and sent to the Katunayake Airport yesterday morning (9).

He is a resident of Kandana, Ja-Ela. He had been arrested by security officials in Dubai on April 15,2026 while he was storing footage on his mobile phone of missiles and drones used by Iran to attack the United Arab Emirates.

He was later remanded in custody and then deported from Dubai on September 9 on and sent to the Katunayake Airportwhere he was arrested by Criminal Investigation Department officers.
