Sri Lanka, July 27 -- National STD/AIDS Control Programme (NSACP) Consultant Dr.Sathya Herath has been selected as one of the 2026 Hepatitis Elimination Champions announced by the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination (CGHE).

Announced to coincide with World Hepatitis Day on July 28, this year's recognition honours four individuals globally who have made exceptional contributions toward hepatitis elimination through dedication, public awareness, policy development, service delivery, and technical innovation.
