Sri Lanka, Aug. 25 -- The body of a 49-year-old anesthesiologist attached to the Badulla Teaching Hospital, who was reported missing on Sunday (23), was found in the Mapakadawewa area in Mahiyanganaya yesterday (24).

According to police, the doctor's disappearance had prompted an investigation into his whereabouts. During the investigation, police found that his vehicle had been captured on CCTV cameras in the Meegahakiula area while travelling towards Mahiyanganaya. The vehicle was later found abandoned along the Badulla-Mahiyanganaya Canal Road in the Mapakadawewa area.
