Sri Lanka, May 22 -- Sri Lanka's traditional tea industry took a major step towards digital transformation with the inauguration of the "Tea Sampath Digital Centre" at the Ratnasiri Wickramanayake National Training Centre of the Tea Small Holdings Development Authority (TSHDA) in Hanthana, Kandy on Wednesday (20).

The centre was established through collaboration between the TSHDA, Solidaridad, Regenagri and the Nucleus Foundation with the objective of connecting tea smallholders with modern digital technology and scientific knowledge.
