Sri Lanka, July 3 -- Deputy Speaker Dr. Rizvie Salih will represent Sri Lanka at the State funeral services of Iran's late supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Representatives from more than 30 countries are scheduled to arrive in Tehran to pay their last respects to the late leader. Khamenei (86), was killed in a joint US-Israeli air strike on his compound in February.

The ceremonial funeral services are to take place in Tehran on Saturday and Sunday (July 4,5) in the Iranian capital. The Deputy Speaker will represent President of Sri Lanka Anura Kumara Dissanayake at all functions in Tehran.In Tehran, Dr.Salih was received by Iranian Government officials as well as Sri Lankan embassy officials in Tehran.
