Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- Following the detection of dengue cases in the Kalmunai area, a dengue control programme has been intensified to curb the spread of dengue mosquitoes and ensure that the surrounding environment is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.
A dengue health inspection was also conducted across the area. The programme was implemented under the direction of the Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS), Kalmunai Dr. Shaheela Izzadeen and the guidance of the Kalmunai South MOH Dr. Zahra Sarafdeen. It was led by Additional MOH of the Kalmunai South, Dr. M.H.Risfin.
