Sri Lanka, June 17 -- China's Embassy in Colombo's newly appointed Defence Attache, Senior Colonel Fu Xiao called on Defence Deputy Minister Major Gen. (Retd) Aruna Jayasekara at his office in Colombo on Monday (15). During the meeting, the Deputy Minister and the Chinese Defence Attache engaged in discussions on matters of bilateral defence co-operation and mutual interest.

The Deputy Minister acknowledged China's longstanding defence co-operation, particularly in military training and the professional development of Sri Lanka's Armed Forces.
