Sri Lanka, April 23 -- Cabinet of Ministers on Monday (20) has approved a decision to appoint a committee to oversee and ensure the implementation of recommendations made following the Easter Sunday attacks, with the aim of strengthening national and public security, Cabinet Spokesman and Health and Mass Media Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said.
Speaking at the weekly Cabinet press briefing held yesterday (22), he said the decision was taken in light of the absence of a structured, formal, and sustainable mechanism to monitor the progress of recommendations previously approved by the Cabinet at its meeting on May 17, 2021.
