Sri Lanka, April 24 -- Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) recorded a statement from Maithree Wickramasinghe, the wife of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, this morning.

The statement was obtained at their residence.

The officers departed in the afternoon after completing the recording.
