Sri Lanka, July 23 -- China is committed to promoting pragmatic and constructive cooperation between the Chinese and Sri Lankan militaries, Sen. Col. Fu Xiao said.
Speaking at a reception held to mark the 99th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army of China, Sen. Col. Fu said she had engaged in discussions with senior officials and military officers of Sri Lanka's Ministry of Defence during the past two months.
She said China-Sri Lanka relations have a long history, noting that the two countries will celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year.
