Sri Lanka, July 20 -- Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong stated that the Chinese Government fully agrees with the policies of the Sri Lankan Government, and by implementing them, Sri Lanka is progressing toward development day-by-day.

He added that China will provide support in every possible sector to aid Sri Lanka's journey toward development.

The Chinese Ambassador, who is scheduled to leave the country on July 31after completing a six-year term of service, made these remarks in Kandy on Friday.

After speaking to the media, the Chinese Ambassador visited the Malwatte and Asgiri Maha Viharas to pay his respects to the Most Ven. Mahanayaka Theras of both chapters, inform them of his departure, and receive their blessings.
