Sri Lanka, July 23 -- China is committed to further strengthening strategic trust and defence cooperation with Sri Lanka, Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong said.

Speaking at a reception held to mark the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) on July 21, Ambassador Qi said military-to-military relations between China and Sri Lanka have been strengthened over the years through cooperation in areas including defence consultations, personnel training, equipment and technical exchanges.
