Sri Lanka, June 26 -- Sri Lankan shuttler Asanka Perera recorded two straight-set victories to reach the men's over-40 quarter-finals at the Ceylon Masters International Badminton Championship, which began yesterday at the Air Force Sports Complex in Rajagiriya. Perera first defeated Malaysia's Kalai Raman 21-7, 21-3 in just 20 minutes to advance from the pre-quarter-final stage. He then continued his impressive form by overcoming Bihan Abeysinghe 21-9, 21-5 to secure a place in the quarter-finals.
