Sri Lanka, March 11 -- Following discussions between trade unions and the boards of directors of the four major companies affiliated with the Ceylon Electricity Board, the boards of directors have agreed to grant 62 of the 64 demands presented by the trade unions.Sri Lanka travel guide

The four chairmen of the trade unions have also requested union members to report back to work and bring the strike action, which has caused inconvenience to the public, to an end.

They further stated that if services are resumed in this manner, arrangements have been made to hold a discussion with Anura Kumara Dissanayake regarding the remaining two demands.
