Sri Lanka, June 17 -- Canada is giving greater priority to strengthening co-operation with Sri Lanka in the fisheries sector and maritime security under its Indo-Pacific Strategy, Canadian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Isabelle Martin said during a meeting with Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources Minister Ramalingam Chandrasekar on Monday (15). During the meeting held at the Ministry, the High Commissioner emphasised Canada's commitment to enhancing collaboration with Sri Lanka in maritime affairs and fisheries development. Both sides also agreed to continue discussions on investment opportunities and technological co-operation through detailed future project proposals.
