Sri Lanka, March 4 -- The Cabinet of Ministers has approved measures to accelerate the construction of Phase IV of the Central Expressway project, which spans 58.6 km from Kurunegala to Dambulla. Approval was granted at the Cabinet meeting held on 2025-06-09 to proceed with the land acquisition activities required for the construction of this phase.
The overall progress of the land acquisition process stands at 73.3%, and preliminary activities for the acquisition of the remaining land are currently underway.
