Cabinet greenlights move to develop National Space Policy framework
Sri Lanka, May 19 -- Sri Lanka is set to develop a National Space Policy aimed at establishing a structured framework for the country's space-related activities, following Cabinet approval for the appointment of a specialised expert committee.
The decision was taken after recognising the increasing strategic importance of space technology and its growing applications in key sectors including disaster management, communications, national security, environmental monitoring, and economic innovation.
