Sri Lanka, July 29 -- According to the budget proposals for 2025, the Government has introduced a scholarship programme for students who have obtained the highest results in the G.C.E. (Advanced) Level to do their first degree in internationally graded foreign universities. Under this scholarship programme, each scholarship holder is provided Rs. 20 million for each year, and the Government provides Rs. 80 million in financial grants for the entire four years of study.

According to the results of the G.C.E. (Advanced) Level 2024, 30 students have been selected for this scholarship programme, and of these students, nine have left the country for their studies. Preliminary arrangements are currently being made for the remaining students to...
