Sri Lanka, Sept. 2 -- The Cabinet of Ministers on Monday (31) approved the proposal to extend US$ 1 million in financial assistance to Nepal in the wake of the devastating floods that struck the country. The proposal, presented by the President, was sanctioned in light of the devastating flash floods that struck Rasuwa District in northern Nepal on August 26, which claimed a large number of lives and caused extensive property damage across the region.
