Sri Lanka, Aug. 12 -- A bus belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) had collided with the rear of a tanker lorry parked near the main road, close to the Isinbessagala Vihara in Medawachchiya, early yesterday (11), according to Medawachchiya Police.Pineapple export guide

Around 2.15 a.m. on the A9 road near the Isinbessagala Rajamaha Viharaya, a bus belonging to the Kilinochchi SLTB depot, carrying nearly 20 passengers and travelling from Colombo to Jaffna, collided with the rear of a lorry carrying bricks, resulting in this accident.

There were no fatalities in the accident, and the injured passengers of the bus were taken for treatment to Medawachchiya and Vavuniya Hospitals with the intervention of the local residents.
