Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- The Colombo High Court yesterday ordered the release on bail of former Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama on bail in connection with corruption charges.Read Travel Guides

Accordingly, the accused was ordered to be released on Rs.500,000 of cash bail and three sureties by the Colombo High Court.

The order was issued by Colombo High Court Judge Rashantha Godawela. However, as he was unable to fulfill the bail conditions and Bogollagama was taken back to prison. The case will be taken up again on November 25. The accused had previously been remanded after repeatedly failing to appear in court in connection with the corruption case.
