Sri Lanka, July 13 -- The Bank of Ceylon (BOC) has launched Sri Lanka's first mobile wallet-based 'BOC Flex Tap & Pay' payment service, marking a major milestone in the country's digital banking and cashless payment landscape.

The new service was officially launched in Colombo on July 9 under the patronage of Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando and Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne.

Developed in collaboration with Mastercard, the 'BOC Flex Tap & Pay' solution supports the Government's drive to promote secure digital payments and reduce reliance on cash transactions.
