Sri Lanka, July 3 -- The Catholic Bishops' Conference in Sri Lanka yesterday re-affirmed its unwavering support for Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith and the Catholic Church's continued efforts to secure truth and justice for the victims of the 2019 Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.

In a statement, the Bishops' Conference condemned false and defamatory content circulating on social media against Cardinal Ranjith and several members of the clergy. It said certain groups were attempting to distort the facts surrounding the Easter Sunday attacks, which claimed hundreds of lives.
